Feeling Thankful!

Dear Friends of Denny,

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We Cahills are feeling very grateful this year for our family, our health, our wonderful and supportive friends, and all of the blessings we have in our life! Dad has been doing well after a course of strong antibiotics seems to have kicked the infection that was stubbornly hanging on for much of the fall. He and Mom celebrated the holiday with son Kevin, daughter-in-law Christine, and the youngest Cahill. They had a lovely time checking out the new zoo exhibit of Humboldt County habitat and taking walks in between the rain, including one of Dad's favorites, the Arcata Marsh.

We are back!

Dear Friends of Denny,

As you may have noticed, we had a little technical difficulty during the last few weeks -- somehow the folks who run the blogsite had blocked our blog, but, we seem to have figured it out, and we are back.

We're feeling very thankful that Dad has been feeling well, so there wasn't too much to report, but thanks to those of you who periodically check in and who let us know that it was missing.

The big news is that Mom took a short vacation down to visit daughter Cathleen in Albuquerque. Several of Dad's friends stayed overnight with him, for which Mom is incredibly thankful. We had a great visit and Mom brought back this lovely southwestern blanket for Dad!

Enjoying a walk at the Marina

Checking out the crabpots (Reminds me of Dad's (bad)  joke about the Mayflower)
We'll definitely keep the posts coming. Feel free to let folks know that the blog is back on line. In the meantime, we hope all is well with you and yours.
